I have felt embraced every step of the way and just wait until Homecoming. It is a next level event starting in ninth grade and going until senior year. We are in the throws of it now for our ninth grader and it's like planning a smallish wedding but there is a whole team of us moms, which really helps, especially if you're not from here. I feel like I'm often behind the curve but they just grab my hand and pull me in and help me with all the traditions that have been developed here over the decades.
